This is probably one of the best dining experiences we've had in a while. The staff was warm and extremely attentive and nice. There's only a few seats so it's modest and quiet. Food is exquisite and heavenly. I love my green tea and they made sure I always have some. Their sake selection is luxurious. It also felt like we were dining in Japan. So worth it and we would do it again.

Food, services & ambiance are excellent. I wish I can give them 5 stars, but the minus of 1/2 star is the sushi rice, I wish they use the traditional white rice instead of brown rice. Brown rice is more harder and denser. Other than that, everything is perfect. Their service is very attentive, and Chef Matsuki is amazing.

We went here to celebrate my partners birthday! We do omakase any time we want to celebrate an occasion and this one was super memorable! We compared it to a similar Michelin omakase restaurant we had in Tokyo and I'd say this restaurant was a lot tastier! There were some items that I had for the first time, for example sea bream milt (fish semen) that was more delicious to me than the regular nigiri! Very nice service and very skilled chefs. The ambience is clean, intimate and no frills. The only parts I thought they could do better is that if you want water you will be forced to purchase their still or sparkling fancy water that is $10 a bottle. you can easy spend a lot just on water. I asked for tap and they said that was not possible even though I was staring at a faucet in front of me lol.

I hit up LA's ginza in the middle of a busy week, and aside from the price, the service and quality is still nothing to write home about in the omakase world. Chef Yohei has been at the LA location since it opened and has been kneading sushi for at least 6 years, which is quite a bit of craftsmanship. Dinner came with 9 Kan sushi. It started with a combination of caviar and sea urchin with egg custard, which had a dense texture. The most surprising sushi of the day was the conch meat, which was not fishy and very crispy, an ingredient rarely used in omakase. The meal was rounded off with ginza's signature matcha dessert, which was sweet but not too sweet, and was the highlight of the meal. Ginza has always had a great reputation and has branches in Shanghai New York Hawaii. If one is an omakase lover , I think ginza is one of the best restaurants to hit up!
